Habit. Prostrate or sprawling. Annual or herbaceous resprouter or non-rhizomatous perennial shrub or perennial vine. Large stems prickles absent.
Branchlets. Branchlets terete or ridged. Branchlet prickles absent. Branchlet hairs simple. Branchlet stellate hairs absent. Branchlet simple hairs antrorse, curved, not gland-tipped, 0.2–0.8 mm long, short glandular hairs absent.
Leaves. Leaves broadly ovate or orbicular, 3–5 cm long, 1–3.5 cm wide, deeply lobed throughout or with basal lobes only, lobes 1–2 on each side. Petioles 0.7–1.5 cm long, not winged or winged, prickles absent.
Upper leaf surface. Upper leaf surface green, prickles absent. Upper leaf surface stellate hairs absent, absent from surface. Upper leaf surface simple hairs antrorse, curved, very sparse or confined to major veins, not gland-tipped, 0.2–0.3 mm long. Upper leaf surface short glandular hairs absent.
Lower leaf surface. Lower leaf surface green, prickles absent. Lower leaf surface stellate hairs absent. Lower leaf surface simple hairs absent. Lower leaf surface short glandular hairs absent.
Inflorescence. Inflorescence leaf-opposed or supra-axillary, cymose (pseudo-racemose), common peduncle 7–15 mm long, rachis prickles absent, 4–10-flowered, with all flowers bisexual. Flowers 5-merous. Pedicels at anthesis 4–7 mm long, prickles absent. Calyx tube at anthesis 2–3 mm long. Calyx lobes at anthesis 0.5–1 mm long. Calyx prickles at anthesis absent. Calyx stellae absent. Calyx simple hairs absent. Calyx short glandular hairs absent. Corolla white, 4–5 mm long, deeply lobed, inner surface glabrous. Anthers 1.8 mm long.
Fruits. Fruiting calyx prickles absent. Mature fruits 4–10 per inflorescence, 4–6 mm diameter, yellow or yellowish-green or green, often streaked, dull.
Distribution and habitat. New South Wales. NSW: North Coast, Central Coast, Central Tablelands, Southern Tablelands, Central-west Slopes.
